strawberry crumble
  Balsamic Strawberry Crumble
This dessert is best served with a scoop of ice-cream.

Serves: 3-4 people

INGREDIENTS


250 g ( sliced ) Strawberry
2 tbsp Honey
½ tbsp Vanilla Extract
½ tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
15 g Almonds
75 g Maida (All Purpose Flour)
30 g Demerara Sugar, Brown Sugar
40 g Cold Butter
50 g Almonds flakes

 

 

METHOD


  1. Mix all the ingredients for filling in a bowl.
  2. Keep aside for 15 minutes.

For the crumble

  1. Mix flour and brown sugar in a bowl.
  2. Add the butter and cut it into the flour using a fork.
  3. The mixture must resemble a coarse bread crumb.

Assembly

  1. Pre heat the oven to 200 degree C. Fill 4 ramekins with the strawberry mixture.
  2. Cover with the crumble.Top with almond flakes. Bake for 20-25 minutes till the juices run out.
  3. If the surface starts to darken too fast, cover with a sheet of aluminium foil. Serve hot.
