Tofu with Garlic Soy Sauce
  Steamed Tofu with Garlic Soy Dressing
A Japanese-style vegan snack. Steamed tofu can also be served as an entree with stir-fried rice or noodles.

INGREDIENTS


Sesame oil; 1 tbsp

Garlic; 1 clove, minced

Light Soy sauce; 1 tbsp

Rice wine vinegar; 2 tbsp

Mirin; 1 tbsp

Silken Tofu; 1 packet

Spring onion, finely sliced; 2 nos. or 50g

Shichimi Togarashi; 1 tsp

Sesame seeds; 1 tsp

 

METHOD


 

  1. Steam the tofu in the steamer for 5 to 8 minutes, remove, drain the excess liquid and transfer to a serving dish.
  2. Combine sesame oil, minced garlic, soy, rice vinegar and mirin in a bowl.
  3. Spoon the dressing on top of the tofu along with spring onion and top with Shichimi Togarashi mixed with sesame seeds. Serve.
